“The Ed-U-tainer”  \u00ae<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dennis has presented this music at many places from east to west and all around. Let us describe here what Dennis does as “The Ed-U-tainer” playing what he prefers to call, “The Golden Age of American Music”.<\/p>\n

“Masters of Melody” identifies the essence of musical integrity<\/em>. It is a musical journey into the lives of those who created music that will never be equaled<\/em>. The lyrics, music and times that should be remembered<\/em>. The world wanted our music and they got it. Now there is a need to know more about what the world has come to appreciate … American music from the past. <\/em>It is good to document cultural history … to see where music has been <\/em>… and to see where music can go. <\/em><\/p>\n

Dennis also features some of the greatest composers of the Century. Their music touched the lives of generations in a way that left an indelible, never to be forgotten impression. For many audience members … these melodies and lyrics produced memories that might be dormant but will be resurrected, when these songs are heard. For others listening … they just might be inspired to create their own new memories, when these songs are heard.<\/p>\n

Experiencing these little magical moments from the past will make one understand … how melodic music<\/em> was an essential<\/em> component<\/em> of Broadway, movies and television … how it could go ’round the world … how it still stands up.<\/p>\n

 2026 <\/p>\n

For 30+ years … Pianist Dennis Chandler<\/span> … has enjoyed the honor, the privilege and the pleasure of playing \ud83c\udfb9 … all around one special campus. As an “Ambassador of Melody<\/em>” … he invites staff, residents and their guests to continue to join in the fun. To paraphrase a line from the Broadway musical, “Gypsy” … “and let him entertain … err … ed-u-tain you” … and … “you’ll have a real good time”. How? <\/p>\n

Dennis has been doing what we call … “his weekly visit to Wiggins” … where he plays his learning \/ concert series … spotlighting … AMERICA’S GOLDEN AGE of MUSIC.<\/p>\n

He will gladly return … whenever invited … wherever … on that special campus. Dennis does a playing engagement … weekly at Wiggins aka Deer Creek Lodge. He also has a set booking date at RH Myers aka Myers Apartments … for … the-first-Sunday-of-each-month. He thanks the residents and staff … for such a warm welcoming each time he performs.  <\/p>\n

The atrium has AN ALLURE … all its own. Adding to the atmosphere … is a GRAND PIANO. One … upon which CHANDLER-THE-CHAMELEON … gets to play some GRAND MUSIC. Dennis’ DEEP REPERTOIRE reflects his LOVE of playing those GOLDEN TUNES. But … only IF … the piano is in tune.
\nIn AN EMERGENCY … HIS EAR … has … HIS HAND doing some … ON-THE-SPOT-TUNING. How? With a little bit of paper pushed ‘tween the strings! Why? A necessity … since he has … THE-MIXED-BLESSING of PERFECT PITCH. (Although, he says it’s NOT perfect … it’s relative!)<\/p>\n

Speaking of relatives …<\/p>\n

The regulars-in-the-audience … once asked THE ED-U-TAINER, “You always seem to top your last performance here. How do you do it?”
\nDennis countered with … “Thank you. I think it is due to … ALL those MANY, MANY … COMPOSERS OF GOOD MELODIC MUSIC …
\nHence … the title of my program …’Masters of Melody’. They’re the ones who deserve to be applauded. BUT … I’ll gladly take … a little … of your applause. It is appreciated!”<\/p>\n

Yes, we’ve been told that MUSICIAN-DENNIS adds to that … ALL-IN-THE-FAMILY feeling … there in their ATRIUM … \u00e0 la … their LIVING-ROOM.
\nThey call … Pianist-Dennis Chandler<\/span> … “MISHPOCHA-DENNIS”. (He says he’ll take that title … it’s a Blessing!)<\/p>\n

“Menorah Park\u2019s first additional residential building on its campus … for persons wanting independence while appreciating a campus connection.<\/p>\n

1997 = The opening of RH Myers Apartments … was followed by Stone Gardens Assisted Living … in 1994 … Wiggins Place Assisted Living … in 2004 … (now known as Deer Creek Lodge today in 2026) …  and … Helen\u2019s Place … in 2013. (The latter provides award-winning services to residents with memory loss).“<\/strong><\/p>\n
